Hi there, how is it going ? happy fall 🙂 I hope most of you are done with your fall cleaning and are gearing towards the season of holidays. Yass we have quite a few holidays coming up. This blog post is a boot camp for closet organization.
If you change your outfit a hundred times before leaving the house and your wardrobe often takes shape on the floor (or chairs/desks/anywhere other than on you or in your closet), it’s time to rethink what you’re buying and where. With that thought in mind let us talk about this season’s favorite absolutely random but lovely items I recently bought.
French closet is all about practical essentails only, what I like most about it is the focus on less. A minimalist wardrobe can be challenging and difficult at first. Once you start practicing it trust me it gets better. The perks ? you can get by with less ? travel light ? own more versatile clothing ? When you let go of things you don’t wear or need you feel liberated. Clutter in your closet adds clutter in your life. If you haven’t worn it in the last 6 months time to throw or donate it. In this post we will start with the essential 5 pieces and then look back at each category.
Hey , happy weekend y’all. So I got a new hair cut and a new hair color. I went with ash brown balayage. I think its a fun style and ash brown suits my skin tone. There are very few shaades that suit Indian skin other than dark browns or blacks but I think a dark toned olive brown goes well with mine.
What’s the most important thing that you always take with you when stepping out of your home? A bag YES ! Thank you. I hope you are familiar with the struggles of picking the right kinds because I do.The market is flooded with so many kinds of bags-handbags, satchels, clutches, sling bags, backpacks you name it.If you’re in your 20 something, single and don’t own an apartment I am sure you would be familiar with the struggles of storing bags and searching for the perfect one to match your outfit. When you go out shopping there are tons of bags that you want to buy but then you think of the closet space you have and shy away from purchasing.I personally avoid buying bags as much as possible, the only times I have bought bags was when I am enchasing a gift card or splurging online on latest trends. Nevertheless I don’t know how I have a huge collection of bags, they seem to have magically got collected over years of guilty shopping and splurging online shopping. If you have any ideas how to store bags without drilling holes to knock in nails and hang your bags please so share with me. What do I typically carry in […]
I am a huge fan of Indian Fabrics, textile and designs. I never spare any opportunity to Shopian the cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kutch. The Handworked Fabrics, the patterns , the embroidery is simply magic. The luxury is a totally on a different level when you look at Indian art and culture. From the Phulkari work in Punjab to the mirror embroidery on bright and colourful embroidery in Rajasthan to the tie and die medley of colours in Gujarat India has so much to offer. The diversity in design and fabric is exquisite. Its no surprise that some of the worlds mode famous fashion designers pick up Indian Fabrics as their medium for work. You would be surprised to know about the cost of export of Indian materials. Its no joke how all this beautiful embroidery work gets on the runways in Paris. Phulkari For those of you who are not from India it might come off as a surprise but Phulkari plays a very important role in a girl’s life.Tradition has it that …Birth of a girl marks the beginning of the child’s grandmother of the task in creating the future bride’s trousseau, which is worn by the bride when she walks around the […]
Minimalism has taken the world by storm. Not only does a minimalist lifestyle eases the burden on overused credit cards, financial uncertainty and environmental concerns it also teaches you that there is more to life than material possessions.Being a minimalist is a state of mind, and not a set of rules. It helps you focus. Decluttering is therapeutic and helps relieve the stress.Open spaces also spark creativity and joy. Less stuff means more money 🙂 Lets declutter and reduce our possessions in the holiday season and start the New year on a fresh note.Get rid of anything that doesn’t spark joy and happiness in your life. I will tell you my experience. My closet was crammed with what used to be my favorite clothes, most of which I’d only worn a few times. The room was filled with all the things I’d taken up as hobbies and then gotten tired of.I had a photography backdrop with a huge stand lying in one corner, a yoga ball in the other, an old grill in another corner just rusting away. Once I took a pledge to get more organized my whole place changed. I have lot of space in my room , its bright […]
Quoi Porter is a fresh phrase which translates to What to Wear Quoi Porter is french for ‘What to Wear’ which sums up the dilemma every woman goes through in the morning.Don’t we all want to stay up to date with the current trends and wish to have couture in our wardrobe? But what happens when we go out shopping and find the cost exceeding a weeks paycheque ?Do I really need that pair of boots? Should I spend 10k on that exquisite leather biker jacket? to answer these questions go ahead. It all boils down to one burning questions should I splurge or should I save.To sort out your dilemma on splurge vs save, I’ve crafted this post to guide you through the decision making process. Hello , let me introduce you to myself. I am a millennial.A millennial is anyone born between 1980 to 1995. Usually called lazy, entitled and hard to work with by the older generation. There is some serious backlash we receive being a millennial. I get it with every generation the gap keeps on widening.Every generation finds the next one more and more hard to deal with. Although its a tad bit unfair to assume that if you are a millennial you would be lazy.Agreed a lot of us have good education, in debt from student loans and trudging through the hardships in life. We are hooked on to our cellphones and social media is our life. Some of us are very hardworking. We enjoy open cultures and collaboration at work.We don’t distinguish work and play.We believe in extended workplaces at work.We enjoy unconventional experiences at work. In an economy which is soon to be mostly made by millennials may be could go a bit easy on them. After all its the baby boomers who made the generation Y who they are.Got to take some credit for it.Yes the Generation Y is tough to deal with in the workplace. They come late to work and leave early. They […]
