To say it’s sensory overload would be an understatement, but I can’t peel my eyes away from the kaleidoscopic spectacle, knowing I’m standing at the Crossroads of the World.

Looking for respite from the concrete jungle, I next make my way to Central Park. As I wander along curving pathways past lush lawns and small lakes, it strikes me that I’ve left the city behind. I find my own quiet spot under a towering oak tree to sit and take it all in. Joggers breeze past as dogs happily romp after sticks and frisbees. Nearby musicians strum cheerful tunes. This urban oasis offers the perfect dose of zen amid a bustling trip.
Fabulous Finds while Shopping in SoHo
Ready to satisfy my inner shopaholic, I head downtown to SoHo and its stylish boutiques and galleries, many housed in historic cast-iron buildings. I weave in and out of stores and happily make several fabulous finds – a handmade pendant at a local artisan’s shop, a pair of designer jeans I can’t resist, and a gorgeous leather satchel for work. By the end of the afternoon, my feet may be sore from pounding the pavement, but shopping in SoHo always recharges my creative spirit.
