Taj Mahal, is a symbol of love and listed as one of the seven wonders of the world. Situated in Agra, India this architectural marvel was constructed over 400 years back. This blog post is all about tips on how to plan a trip to Taj Mahal.

Before your trip make sure to readup on Taj Mahal. You can always get a tour guide but its nice to know the history of the place you are visiting.Don’t carry too many things, that will lead you to a delayed checkin, yes the security here is crazier than airports. You are not allowed to carry food or water inside Taj Mahal.

Best Time to visit Taj Mahal is early morning, once it gets sunny its really hot to walk the entire stretch.I travelled with my colleagues from work and honestly didnt have to worry about a thing.The trip was planned so well we left at 7am and returned back the same evening. We took a couple of stops for a snack break and all in all it was a great experience.

Taj Mahal took 22 years to complete. It’s made of all marble and took 20,000 workers to build. All to show love to a woman. Some say the workers’ thumbs were cut off so they couldn’t ever build something like it again.

I visited the place on a Saturday morning which is why I guess it was more crowded than usual. I was caught in awe by the vastness of the place. I also took a tour inside the Masoleum althoigh I dont hace pictures. Photography is not permitted inside Taj Mahal. Its relatively dark and damp inside. There is Yamuna river flowing underneath Taj Mahal which is supposedly the cause.Graves of Shajahan and his wife Mumtaz and placed side by side in a chamber.
